about

Chapter I:

"Light of light from darkness rises
Stone by stone each step surprises
Wall of cloud ~ breath of life
A vaporous visage standing stream through prisms shine
Morning eyes see truth beyond lie
A vision revealed through mists’ disguise
Path reborn, hope renewed
Mountain Top, Brotherhood true"

----------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter II:

"Round each turn the mountain brings
Each step assured till wind gusts break
From the mist and wind a form is made
A woman dressed in cloud and shade
The tale she sings from days of olde
Of young hero’s with journeys bold
Who braved to walk along this path
only spoken of by its wrath
A curse can break~a dwarf can fall
But this curse seeks the hearts of all
A weight upon the need of each
Breaking bonds and gnashing teeth
This path to home is the mountains own
Be sure to check beneath every stone
The true of heart, the lucky few
Will see the mountain valley soon
Those who fail to hold their bonds
Will stand alone in fear till the great beyond
Go in courage, step in trust
But do not stray, do not stray"

----------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter III:

"Ahead the brothers press their will
Some with care and some with frill
Mountain pass harsh and steep
chilling winds howling into the deep
With heavy hearts like forged from boulders
The visions tale rests on their shoulders
While some sleep like a lamb in hay
Others haunted, in worry lay awake
Trust thyself, into shadow move
What must come will come
The valor of your heart be proved"

----------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter IV:

"The walls of the heart are a fragile ruse
Broken hearts echo from peak to peak
Brothers bent to their festering bruise
The curse plays on love most weak
Voice on the wind, a lovers a coo
Dark visions of perilous demise
Blood on the hands of the casually cruel
Old bonds turned, now ye despise
Release what's most loved or lose it all
Hold it close and risk what may befall"

----------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter V:

"Webs of moonlight paint the dirt
Branches above prove their worth
Cool is the night, high spirits define the mood
Now that the curse has been removed
Step by step, downward climbing
Hopeful thoughts of home arriving
Among the shadowed forest looming
New mist, and in it, a figure blooming
Now a voice with range that trembles and shakes
A poem when sung all hope it breaks

“how low, how long, must ye descend
Till tired travelers reach the end?
the mountain pass runs far and deep,
still, ye press on, forgoing food and sleep.
a weary path ye must devour
‘Fore tasting a single restful hour.
Light of light from darkness rises
a path of dark, fateful surprises.
Drop a match in the woods and let it burn
The lowland forest, a fresh made urn.
How low, how long, must ye descend
Till travelers meet their bitter end!”

A vision forged through breath of life
Now giving birth to death and strife
Draw their swords and what courage is left
No time to spare, the scene is set
the demon sets the trees ablaze
The dwarves lay low in the smoky haze
Try to fight if chance allows
Burning branches falling all around
Down the hill the brothers run
As ash and flame from above are flung
An avalanche of rock and tree
Descending down the mountain steep
Among the wreckage the brothers find
A shelter from the demons eyes..."
